construction themed birthday party for your boy

If you’ve got a kid who adores anything on wheels, harness that enthusiasm for his or her birthday. We’ve got all the ideas you need to make an affordable and enjoyable construction-themed birthday bash.
The Invites
Personalize your own Charming Construction invitations with your child’s photo or their favourite cartoon like Bob the Builder.

The Food
Serve up your snacks and dessert on the cute Construction Trucks Express Party Package.

When it comes to dessert, the awesome Construction Birthday Cake f will wow all your guests.

There are plenty of ways to keep kids occupied for a few hours while sticking to the theme:
Bake a batch of sugar cookies ahead of time with a variety of transportation-themed cookie cutters  Then let party guests frost the treats and decorate them with sprinkles or colored sugar. If you make extras, kids can take the leftovers home in treat bags.

The Games
Collect boxes from your local supermarket so party guests can make their own cars to ride around in. We love this box cars tutorial from SimplyModernMom.com. The instructions call for easy-to-score supplies like cardboard boxes, paper plates, crayons and markers. (As Tiffany notes in her post, don’t allow children to handle the knife or scissors — that’s a job for adults.)

What’s a good game to get wiggly, wild little bodies moving? How about a classic game of Red Light/Green Light?
For tons of fun, break out the Construction Truck Piñata.

If you want, hand out child-size Construction Hats for the kids to collect their candy in and take home as a party favor.

The Thank-Yous
Once it’s over, make sure you and your child thank the guests. Get a set of eight Construction Trucks Thank You Notes. If your kid is not old enough to write the cards or his name, at least have him help color or decorate the notes so he gets the idea of being a gracious host.

Good luck in planning the party!!
